• iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 1, iPad 2,  iPod Touch ( 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation ) . iPhone 3GS or iPod 3rd generation or greater hardware highly recommended. iPad is supported with version 1.1.12 of Emerald Run or greater.
• iOS 4.1 or greater. iPad requires iOS 4.2 or greater. iOS 5 or greater strongly recommended.
• OpenGL ES 2 capable device preferred.  OpenGL ES 1.1 Compatible.

Emerald Run Tips

What is the object of the game?

Collect all the green emeralds on the roads and paths. Be careful to avoid colliding with trees and rocks. When all the emeralds are collected you will advance to the next level. Clear spiders and mines from your path. Avoid shooting emeralds and hitting emeralds with boulders.

What is the OpenGL ES 2 setting?

This setting will enable the device to draw the game scene using OpenGL ES 2 based graphics. On older devices, this option is not available. Changing this setting requires the program completely restart. Turning this setting off will make the program run faster, the scene will be drawn with OpenGL ES 1.1  graphics and there will be no bump mapping or shadows.

The game animation is slow. How can I speed the game up?

If you want to use OpenGL ES 2 based graphics, you can speed the animation by disabling shadows and anti alias features. If the game is still too slow, you can disable OpenGL ES 2 graphics and degrade to OpenGL ES 1.1 based graphics which should be significantly faster. Also, disabling anti alias with OpenGL ES 1.1 graphics should make the game animation faster.

When I play the game the screen rotates. How do I stop rotation?

Pressing the green rotation icon next to the pause button will disable rotation. If the rotation icon is gray, then the game will not rotate. Pressing the gray rotation icon will enable rotation. Generally, rotate the game into the desired landscape or portrait mode and then lock rotation. Putting the game into the background should reenable rotation.

How do I drive the truck?

Turning the truck is controlled by the device's accelerometer. Hold the device's position with the screen facing directly in the upright direction and the round button to the right. Tilting the device to the left will cause the truck to turn left. Tilting the device to the right will cause the truck to turn right. Keeping the device level will cause the truck to drive straight.

What is camera pan?

Camera pan will automatically pan the camera behind the truck. This gives a better view of where the truck is driving. The setting is on by default.

When do I get an extra life?

Every 2000 points ( 500 points versions 1.2.25 and earlier ) you will earn an extra life, if you have less than three lives left.

I advanced a level unexpectedly. What happened?

There is a possibility that a spider or boulder hit the last emerald on the level. If this happens there are no emeralds left and you advance to the next level. Of course, you did not get any points for the last emerald.

I ran out of ammo. How do I get more ammo?

In later levels, there are ammo canisters placed in the forest or along the roads. Simply collide with the ammo canisters and your ammo count will increase.

What do the difficulty settings do?

The harder the difficulty, the more obstacles will be put along the roads and paths. Also, with more difficulty, the number of spiders will increase.

How do I fire?

The turret will aim and fire at the ground you tapped.

What is the anti alias setting?

Multisample will smooth the jagged teared appearance of hard edges in the 3D scene. Thin objects will appear less pixelated.  Having multisample turned on will slow performance. This feature only works with iOS 4 or greater. If your device does not support multisampling, the multisample switch will be disabled.

Will the game work on my jail broken device?

No. Reliabit offers no guarantee the game will work on a jail broken device. There is no way for us to reliably test the game on a system that has been tampered with and could be potentially defective and or have security issues.

Uninstallation

Press down on the app icon until the icon starts to jiggle. Tap the "x" above the app icon. The icon should disappear. Press the iPhones home button to leave the uninstall mode.
